The World Safety Organization (WSO) is an international Professional Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Organization established to help assure healthy and safe working conditions for Agencies, Organizations, Individuals and the general public; by providing training, education, research and information related to the field of Occupational, Environmental, Safety, Security and Health and also providing international professional membership in the safety profession.

Since inception in Nigeria, September 2012, the WSO National office for Nigeria has continually strived to cascade the overall motto of the WSO locally (“Making Safety a Way of Life…Worldwide”).

Since 2003, the ILO observes the World Day on Safety and Health at Work on April 28 capitalizing on its traditional strengths of tripartism and social dialogue

This year, the World Safety Organization (WSO) Nigeria, in partnership with the United Nations Information Center (UNIC) Lagos, Federal Ministry of Labour & Employment, the Kwara State Fire Service and AB-Factor Global Concept Ltd. in line with the International Labour Organizations’ (ILO) tradition organized a workshop to engage stakeholders, in commemoration of the day.

The event took place on Friday April, 2017 at the Banquet Hall, opposite Kwara State Government House. The theme of this year’s event was “Improving Workplace Safety & Emergency Response by Optimizing the Collection of OSH Data”.

Lubcon Limited received an award in recognition and appreciation of her efforts at promoting safety as well as supporting and participating in the event. The award was received by the Health, Safety & Environment Officer on behalf of the Management of Lubcon Limited.
